aN eMPTY sPACE?

aN eMPTY sPACE?  - Songtales for a public site

"aN eMPTY sPACE?" is an acusmatic opera installation. 

It was originally concieved for Nikolaj, Center of Contemporary Art in Copenhagen and presented in two versions: one stationary in the Tower Gallery of Nikolaj and a second mobile one, mounted at 14 public sites in and around Copenhagen in May 2000.

November the 3rd and 4th 2000,  the most recent version of "aN eMPTY sPACE? - songtales for a public site" was presented in Barcelona by Teatre Malic and  Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona ( CCCB). 

aN eMPTY sPACE? Live in BarcelonaThe new version - v.3 - made use of extreme digital sound manipulation of the original recorded material to create a soundscape in which a live opera singer appeared.

The live voice was performed in Spanish by Danish singer Christine Schøtt while the composer controled the computer keyboard and the mouse......

From thursday 22/3  to  sunday 25/3, 2001 version 1 and songtales#4 - a special new live version will be presented at Spazio Arka in ASSEMINI, Sardenia, Italy

Friday the 27th of April aN eMPTY sPACE songtales#5 will be presented in Tokyo, Japan.
