| Jakob Draminsky Højmark. (Copenhagen, Denmark 1959) Since 1977 active as musician and composer. From 86 involved in European improvised music as woodwind instrumentalist (bass clarinet and sopranino saxophone). Residencies in London,West Berlin and Barcelona. Composition and instrumental studies with Pierre Dørge(Copenhagen),Wolfgang Fuchs (Berlin) and Gabriel Brncic (Barcelona). Participation in electroacoustic work-shops at DIEM (DK), IRCAM(F) and PHONOS (Sp). Has received commissions for works for instrumental groups and theatres, and grants from various national Danish art foundations. Main compositions : Aru haha no monogatari - The story of a mother. Noh-opera for Japanese Noh actor, western baritone and soprano singers, Noh chorus, Noh drums and computer. Based on Historien om en Moder by Danish writer H.C. Andersen. Performed at Umewaka Noh theatre, Tokyo April 2005 and at The Royal Library, Copenhagen December 2005. A co-production between Ryokusenkai Noh Ensemble, Musikteatret Undergrunden and Multisounds. <MR.X>_ _ _</MR.X> multimedia miniopera for counter-tenor,cello,realtime computer manipulations and Quicktime events. Based on Canaris Fosforescents, by Catalan poet Enric Casasses.Video scenography by Jeanette Schou.
