| "The Moment Lost" is a live soundtrack for 9 scenes of an imaginary Dogme95 film. Rule number two in the original vow that a Dogme95 director had to sign, states: "The sound must never be produced apart from the images or vice versa." In this film, that never was made, musical instruments are the main characters. On the first level they communicate and interact like musical instruments with sounds and notes; they are acting like them selves: like musical instruments. But on a second level they act together to create a series of sound images reflecting the lives of a boy, a girl, a young man, a young woman, an old man and a demon. They dance, they cry, they fight, they dream, they make love and they die, but no word is spoken. The final visual part of this story is created in the mind of the individual person present in the room where the music is being played. "The Moment Lost" is performed by Jakob Draminsky Højmark: bass-clarinet & sopranino saxophone. Shingo Suzuki: acustic guitar& cello. OnoTetsu: Keyboard. Kentaro Suzuki: Double bass. Itoken: Drums& Percussion. |
